Las Vegas! Top 10 Things to See and Do In Sin City

Maria’s Top 10 Things to See and Do in Vegas!

Now I’m sure everyone’s lists are going to be different, but here is my top ten list of the must-sees in Vegas! Make sure to bring the most comfortable pair of walking shoes you’ve ever owned, because you’re going to need them!

1)  Be sure to see the “free shows” at the resorts. First off, see the fountains at the Bellagio…they have a gorgeous show at night with music and lights…normally starts around 6pm. Then walk over to the Mirage to have a look at their volcano, and right next door you’ll see TI (Treasure Island), where you can check out their new “Sirens of TI” show!

2)  Check out the phenomenal shopping of Las Vegas!! Number one on my list is the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Beautiful architecture will greet you as you shop at all the famous designer stores like Louis Vuitton. You will also find amazing shopping at the Fashion Show mall (right next to TI), as well as the Grand Canal Shoppes at the beautiful Venetian hotel. But don’t forget to check out the outlet malls….You will find amazing deals for anything and everything under the sun!

3)  You can’t go to Vegas without seeing one of the famous shows! My recommendation is the Blue Man Group. They put on a great show that really gets you involved…I won’t tell you how you get involved…that part is the surprise! Or, check out one of the world famous Cirque De Soleil shows at either the Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York New York, the Mirage, or the Venetian.

4)  If you would like a taste of old school Vegas, check out Fremont Street…there’s a laser show at night which you can check out as you stroll past classic spots like the Glitter Gulch and the Golden Nugget.

5)  Take a ride in the Italian style gondolas at the Venetian hotel…you’ll feel like you’re taking a vacation within your Vegas vacation!

6)  Looking for a fun place to go have a bite and party the night away? Check out Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville!!! Located outside of the Flamingo hotel.

7)  Take the monorail all the way to the Sahara and walk up to the Stratosphere hotel. Take in the view from the top, but before you leave, make sure you go on the amazing rides!

8)   Take some time to check out the gems off the main hotel strip…for example, go to the RIO Hotel and take in the breathtaking view at the top at Voodoo Lounge. Order their famous drink called the Witch Doctor, and make sure you bring others to share it with you…it’s a huge delicious concoction!

9)  FOOD…mmm…Las Vegas is home to so many wonderful restaurants and culinary masterpieces. Just remember to save room for dessert, and go to the Cheesecake Factory, located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace!

10)  Relax….enjoy your favourite drink in a yard glass, or go lounge by the pool at your resort. Las Vegas is also home to many wonderful spas, so make sure you pamper yourself before those long nights out on the town!

There you have it! I’m sure you’ll be adding to this list with some other things you’d like to check out, maybe a tour of the Grand Canyon, or Hoover Dam! The list is endless, but one thing remains certain. There’s something for everyone in Las Vegas!
