Sandals Resorts Introduces Overwater Bungalows!

You know how it is when you read through those brochures for Fiji and the Cook Islands: seeing pictures of all those luxury resorts with overwater bungalows is so tempting, and it’s a dream of yours to make it out there sometime to experience it for yourself.

Well, how would you feel if I was to tell you that it’s going to be closer to home? And trust Sandals resorts to be the first to create this kind of paradise! You heard it here first, fresh off the travel press! I just came across an article in a travel trade magazine with this excellent news. In the near future, we’ll be able to experience this luxury type of accommodations in the beautiful Caribbean!

It is all thanks to Sandals Chairman Gordon "Butch" Stewart, he is the mastermind behind the concept. However, there was a bit of hemming and hawing from the government at first, in regards to hurricanes. Sandals eased any concerns by advising that modern engineering will ensure that no problems will arise. Construction is slated to start next spring. The first 2 resorts that will be home to these new overwater bungalows will be Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in Montego Bay (bungalows will be located near the resort’s private offshore island), and also Sandals Grande St. Lucian in St. Lucia.

Stay tuned…as soon as we get more info, we’ll be sure to post it here!
