If you happen to watch Donald Trump’s "The Celebrity Apprentice", you may remember the episode where both teams were competing in selling wedding dresses. The women’s team won by a mile, and it was definitely due to the help they received from Preston Bailey. Who is Preston Bailey, you ask? He is the wedding planner to the stars,and event planner extraordinaire!
Preston Bailey was born in Panama. His career in fashion began in 1968, when he moved to New York and started out in modeling. It wasn’t until his fashion boutique had closed in 1980 that he started to look at creating his now-famous floral arrangements.
It was all thanks to his best friend who had suggested he get involved in creating floral arrangements for his clients from Park Avenue. This was the stepping stone he needed to get into floral couturier and the rest was history. In the years to come, Bailey would be planning events for famous celebrities such as Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Joan Rivers’ daughter Melissa, and Matt Lauer to name a few.
